Wound Care - Conditions we treat

We treat conditions including but not limited to :

  • Diabetic ulcers

  • Venous ulcers

  • Pressure ulcers

  • Arterial ulcers

  • Traumatic injuries

  • Minor burns

  • Wounds still present after recent  procedures

  • Wound or tissue damage as a result of radiation therapy in the past

  • Bone infections

  • Abscess or skin infection

  • Compromised skin grafts and flaps

  • Wounds that haven’t healed within 30 days

Many services are offered for the management of wounds. These services include but not limited to:

  • Wound evaluation and monitoring

  • Cleaning and bandaging

  • Advanced dressing selection

  • Pressure treatments, including compression wraps and negative-pressure wound therapy

  • Medications

  • Moisture treatments and tissue builders

  • Biological dressing/Skin substitutes

  • Surgical therapies, if necessary, including removing unhealthy or dead tissue that prohibits the healing of wounds, or wound biopsies to detect abnormal tissues or infection

  • Vein ablation surgery

  • Coordination of advanced surgical or medical care if indicated

  • Comprehensive patient education

  • Collaboration with Home Care or Long Term Care
